What is it all about?

The Netflix series of Stranger Things first premiered in 2016. Set in the 1980s The story follows a group of friends in a fictional town where they uncover a supernatural conspiracy, involving government experimentation, alternate dimensions, and dangerous monsters.

The series takes its inspiration from the horror and sci-fi films of that era and has a dedicated global fanbase.

Here at the Phoenix the stage play will take you to a time before the world turned upside down…the date is 1959 and the place is Hawkins, a regular town with regular worries.

Young Jim Hopper's car won't start, Bob Newby's sister won't take his radio show seriously and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get the hell out of there.

When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family finds that a fresh start isn't so easy… and the shadows of the past have a very long reach. Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, who take theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to a whole new dimension, this gripping new adventure will take you right back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story – and may hold the key to the end.

The show is set to run from November 17 to August 25, 2024 but Holiday Extras say to be one of the first to catch Stranger Things: The First Shadow, you should book now, as it is selling out fast.
