Peterborough MP Paul Bristow has described getting the first dose of the COVID vaccine as ‘something amazing.’

Aged 42, Mr Bristow was able to get his first dose today.

He said; “Something amazing happened to me today. At 42 it was my turn for the vaccine.

“Thank you to everyone at Thistlemoor Medical Centre Dr Neil Modha. They told me that have perhaps vaccinated 15,000 City residents. What an absolutely superb achievement.

The latest vaccine statistics were released earlier today, and it was revealed 17.7 per cent of the adult population in Peterborough have had their second dose, with 45.3 per cent having had at least one dose.
