We're grilling! Residents enjoy a sunny National BBQ Week

Staff and residents at Longueville Court care home went all out for National BBQ Week which is celebrated this year from May 25-31.
Residents, families and friends were invited to pull up a deckchair and enjoy the beautiful weather with some lovely cold drinks. made by head chef Steven Ginns and the hospitality team accompanied the sausages and burgers and cakes that had everyone queuing up for more.

While residents tucked into their food, they enjoyed live entertainment from Reunion Avenue and a special visit from the Widow son – Cobble stone chapter who came along for a enjoy the live music and BBQ.  
The weather could not have been more perfect and everyone agreed that National BBQ Week was a huge success and should be come a permanent fixture in everyone’s diaries.

Resident Jill said “I had such a wonderful afternoon, the food was lovely, the live entertainment was great, and the bikers were all so friendly”.

Krzysztof Krzysztofiak, General Manager at the home, said: “BBQ Week is a great excuse for us to get outside in the sunshine and enjoy some fab food in the beautiful gardens.  Our chef is a champion griller!  It is lovely to be able to make the most of the summer sun, for once the weather played ball!”
David Crowson, a resident at the home said “I’ve always loved a good barbie, it is so nice to be able to sit outside in the sunshine with my friends/family.  The food was absolutely delicious and we were so lucky with the weather – it was a perfect day. I would like to say thank you to widow sons for coming and joining us.”
