Local care home donates to Parkinson’s UK
“We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities"
Bayleaf Care Home in Huntingdon has presented a cheque to Parkinson’s UK following a recent successful fundraising event.

Beth Condie from Parkinson’s UK, visited the care home to provide an insightful presentation on Parkinson’s Awareness and whilst she was there Bayleaf Care Home manager, Katie Wilkinson presented her with a cheque for £422 which the team at the home raised by taking part in a 5k inflatable run at Huntingdon Racecourse on April 11th.
Bayleaf Care Home has built up excellent reputations within its local community since opening its door in June 2025, regularly holding events and activities for residents and surrounding neighbours.
Katie Wilkinson, General Manager at Bayleaf Care Home, said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities. As a home with residents who are living with Parkinson’s, we can see the daily effect that it can have so we were only too happy to do our bit to raise money for this amazing charity.”
