Employees were treated to World Cup screening, games and giveaways as they picked, packed and shipped Prime Day products for customers in location and around the UK. The celebrations were organised to say thank you to the team for delivering smiles to customers during the annual event.

Prime Day, which launched in the UK a decade ago, is one of the busiest days of the year across Amazon’s buildings. This year Prime runs across three days, giving customers double the time to shop hundreds and thousands of exclusive deals.

Egle Snitkute is an employee at Amazon in Peterborough who took part in the activities on site. She said: “We love Prime Day at Amazon in Peterborough. It’s a great day with a lot of buzz and excitement, and the events organised to mark the event this year have been fantastic. Exciting periods like Prime Day give the team the chance to build on the excellent work we do throughout the rest of the year and show how slick our operations are.”

Tomislav Batinic, Site Leader at Amazon in Peterborough, added: “It was a big year for us at Amazon, with Prime Day deals available over three days. Operations to meet demand ramped up here early and the team was in great spirits preparing to pick, pack and ship thousands of items throughout the period. I am impressed at how we came together this year to make the event so successful - the celebrations were well-deserved, as they always are.”
