Bayleaf care home residents let their creativity bloom
"These sorts of activities are so beneficial for our residents and give them a chance to get creative”
Residents at Bayleaf Care Home in Huntingdon have been enjoying a colourful burst of creativity with a flower arranging activity that showcased their talents and love for gardening.

Many residents have been keen gardeners throughout their lives, making this the perfect opportunity to let their creativity blossom. By the end of the session, the home was filled with stunning floral displays — and plenty of smiles. The beautiful arrangements were proudly placed in residents’ rooms and in communal areas for everyone to enjoy.
Katie Wilkinson, General Manager at Bayleaf Care Home, said: "These sorts of activities are so beneficial for our residents and give them a chance to get creative. While this flower arranging activity took place indoors, our garden is a much-loved space, and residents enjoy caring for the plants and flowers, watching them grow and change through the seasons."

Resident Freda Smith added: "I have always enjoyed flower arranging and find it very therapeutic. We are so lucky to have such lovely activities at the home, and I will always take part as much as I can, whenever I can."
