The indoor inflatable theme park was a soaring success when it launched in January at the PE1 retail park, attracting record numbers of visitors before being forced to close due to the Government’s coronavirus restrictions at the end of March.

Fun-seekers of all ages will now be delighted to discover that they can once again enjoy the giant ball pool, huge drop slides and Total Wipeout-style bouncing balls after Inflata Nation introduced a number of measures to ensure it meets the current safety guidelines.

These include a reduced capacity as well as strict new cleaning procedures and temperature checks.

Co-owner Preeti Sohal said: “We’re delighted to announce that Inflata Nation Peterborough will be back open from this weekend – and we can’t wait to see lots of smiling faces having fun in the arena once more.

“It was hugely frustrating to have to close our doors after only two months at the start of the year, but obviously the global health crisis dictated that restrictions had to be put in place.

“It has been a really tough time for everyone but we are now in a position to welcome back customers who I’m sure have missed having fun on the inflatables.”

The leisure site has introduced a new one-way system to ensure social distancing is observed, including a separate entrance and exit.

Other measures in place include reducing the capacity by more than 50 per cent, meaning there will be a maximum of 50 people in the arena during each one-hour session.

Hand sanitising stations will be situated around the site, while staff and customers will have their temperatures checked when they enter.

Constant cleaning will take place throughout the day, with a dedicated cleaner on site, and specialist disinfectant fogging machines will also be used.

Inflata Nation has invested in cleaning technology that includes anti-viral solutions which last up to 30 days.

Preeti added: “We have done everything possible to ensure Inflata Nation Peterborough is a safe environment, taking official advice on what measures need to be in place.

“We will only be taking contactless payments and all the staff have been brought fully up to date with the current guidelines.”

The 14,000 sq ft indoor theme park features a host of thrilling attractions including huge drop slides, a Gladiator-style duel and the Inflata Race assault course.

There’s also the extra bouncy Inflata Bubbles section and a giant air pillow where the challenge is to reach the top first.

Inflata Nation Peterborough was launched in January with a glittering VIP event that saw Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden cut the ribbon.

One-hour bounce sessions are £5.99 for under-fours and £9.99 for everyone else.
