Full steam ahead - Yaxley Vintage Festival weekend returns

Steam engines, vintage tractors, classic motorcycles and historic lorries form the centrepiece of the Yaxley Vintage Festival, which returns on June 20 and 21 with two full days of heritage, entertainment and family fun.

Held at the Yaxley Scouts and Guides HQ, from 10am to 5pm, the festival has become a highlight of the local calendar, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

It remains completely free to attend, with free parking available, making it an accessible and enjoyable day out for all ages.

Exhibitors from across the region proudly present their machines, giving families the chance to experience Britain’s industrial and agricultural past up close. Visitors can explore an impressive display of steam engines, miniature steam, vintage tractors, classic motorcycles, stationary engines and historic lorries.

Many owners are on hand to share stories, answer questions and demonstrate how these remarkable engines once powered everyday life.

Alongside the machinery, the festival offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with children’s games, a miniature farm, trade stalls, catering outlets and a friendly festival bar.

The variety of activities ensures there is something for everyone, whether you are a lifelong enthusiast or simply looking for a relaxed family day out.
