Annual show replaced with scarecrow trail this weekend in Peterborough

One of Peterborough’s longest-standing annual shows, cancelled because of the pandemic, is to be replaced by a scarecrow trail.

The Werrington Show Scarecrow Trail is this weekend

The Werrington Show Scarecrow Trail takes place this weekend - Saturday and Sunday - across the PE4 postcode.

With a theme of “British Heroes and Heroines”, around 30 scarecrows have been entered into the scarecrow making competition and will be on display in front gardens

Trail maps to see the scarecrows and vote for the prize-winning Top 3 will be available to collect from The Bluebell Pub, The Green, Werrington - which has sponsored the event -from 10am to 4pm and Newton Fallowells in Werrington Centre.

The winning scarecrow will have its photo displayed in the 2021 Werrington Show.
