A special programme events are taking place at Peterborough Lido this weekend to celebrate the venue’s 90th anniversary.
The Lido will be hosting its ‘Big Pool Party’ between Friday and Monday (May 29 – 31).
The party promises to transport party-goers back to the Lido’s heyday – with swimming, music and dancing all weekend.

- Fun Family Gala- Saturday 9am – 12pm
- Pool Party and Live Music- Saturday 1pm – 8:30pm
- Easy like Sunday morning- Sunday 7am – 9am
- Happy 90 years Birthday Party- Sunday 9am – 6pm
Sunday visitors can also adorn their finest “swimming related” fancy dress for a chance to win free swimming.
A spokesperson for Vivacity said: “Peterborough Lido’s 90th celebrations have already kicked-off with the early season opening. We are now busy making final preparations for our fun-filled birthday weekend.
"The Lido is a unique venue to host live-music – the pools will be open so visitors can choose to swim, dance or just relax with friends on the terraces, all whilst soaking up the rich heritage of the city’s (and one of the UK’s) most iconic outdoor swimming venues. We are expecting tickets to sell out quickly, so encourage people to book early to avoid disappointment.”
