Bourne’s skiing star Jade enjoys palace day out
Bourne’s visually-impaired Paralympic medal-winner Jade Etherington and her sighted guide Caroline Powell were among hundreds of guests invited to the Queen’s first garden party of the year.
Jade, who won three silver medals and one bronze at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, last March, said it was “really nice and quite an honour to be there”.
Jade, 24, retired from skiing last year to concentrate on becoming a teacher.
