The concert was organised by NH Productions – the production company run by Peterborough-based vocal coaches and professional singers Naomi and Hannah (Classical Reflection) – who also teach solo singing lessons to students across the city as NH Vocal Coaching.
The Peterborough students travelled down to London for the special occasion, part of a series of charity shows Naomi and Hannah put on throughout the year, giving their students the chance to perform in a professional setting for good causes.
Taking to the stage alongside the students were a host of West End and touring theatre stars, including Sonny Monaghan, who was Evan in the UK tour of Dear Evan Hansen, and Grace Roberts, who is currently starring as Christine in the international touring production of Phantom of the Opera. They were joined by 12 west end stars for an evening of show stopping numbers.
The night was a huge success both on stage and off it, with the concert raising an incredible £1,566 for Dean Trust Animal Sanctuary.
It's the latest in a long line of fundraising concerts from Naomi and Hannah, who run these charity concerts regularly throughout the year. Over the past 12months alone, NH Productions has raised almost £10,000 for a range of different charities, all while giving their students opportunities to share a stage with professional West End performers.
Naomi and Hannah commented: "We're so proud of every single student who performed . To raise £1,566 for such a wonderful cause, and to see our students performing alongside West End stars, is exactly why we do this, we are so happy!”
