Max's EP release gig at Peterborough's HMV store
Peterborough singer Max E McCabe will be performing live at the city’s HMV store in Queensgate next month to mark the release of his debut 3-track EP.
Max, who has released a handful of singles while working with Christopher Barn at Backland Studios near Oundle, will be singing the three tracks from “Picture of You” from 1pm on April 4 – the date the EP goes on sale in the store.
His music video has accrued over 50,000 views on TikTok alone.
Max, who people may have caught gigging with local band Ice-9ine last year, says: “The ‘Picture of You’ EP marks a new era for me as an artist as I believe it showcases ‘my sound’.
“It is little Americana, blended indie rock, and the song ‘Changed’ I feel even has a bit of Bowie in there somewhere. I’ve poured my heart and soul into the making of it, which is what makes making music so special to me, I hope others can connect with it and enjoy it.
“The title song that the EP is named after (Picture of You) is an ode to my loved ones no longer with us, but in a beautiful way, not sad, and I’m excited to share it with the world. There are many more songs coming in 2026 along with a complete album and more music videos, so 2026 should be exciting.”
The EP has now also been entered into The Official Charts Company listings and is available to pre-order at Rough Trade
