GBH in Peterborough with a treat for fans of 'real' Punk rock
Later this month (December 13) there's a real treat lined up for the fans of 'real' punk rock as Club With No Name returns to The Lime Tree in Paston Lane, when they play host to the legendary pioneers of the British street punk movement 'UK82' GBH.
Fresh from a four week tour of the USA, the band will be supported by their long time friends Sick On The Bus, along with the female-fronted The Backstreet Abortions, who are currently on the rise and causing quite a stir up and down the country.
GBH have gone on to influence several punk rock musicians, but their influence has been especially far-reaching in metal, including all of the "big four of thrash metal " Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield has repeatedly expressed his enthusiasm for GBH and said such bands were the beginning of thrash metal to him.

GBH have also influenced 1990s and 2000s rock bands such as Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, Green Day, The Offspring, and Rancid, but still remain true to their original punk ethics and sound since forming in 1978.
The line up for the night is completed by another upcoming act YesterGhosts (the solo project of Pete from Two Sick Monkeys) and doors open at 7.30pm.
Advance tickets are still available from www.buytickets.at/clubwithnoname or you can pay on the door.
