Demand has been high, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and now no more tickets are available for event’s first day on Sunday (August 30) date but tickets remain on sale for Monday (August 31).

All visitors have been asked to pre-book online this year to guarantee their entry as organisers seek to control crowd numbers at the East of England Showground.

Truckfest is one of the biggest events in Peterborough’s calendar and one of the few that will go ahead despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It will take place this Bank Holiday weekend, having been postponed from its traditional spot in May, with organisers having promised that the two-day event will be Covid safe.

Truckfest is one of the few large events taking place in the city this year, and will see the usual attractions of arena stunt displays, a range of trucks and shopping stalls.

Live Promotions, who run Truckfest, said: “The safety of our visitors and exhibitors is Live Promotions’ number one priority. “We can confirm we have complied with the Government’s guidance on managing the risk of Covid-19. “Rest assured Live are working with the venue and following Government guidelines to ensure safety on site.”

There will be a crowd density standard, to ensure social distancing of at least one metre will be possible.

All visitors will have to pre-register to allow contact tracing to take place.

There will be a one-way system through the site with wider aisles than normal.

An enhanced clean regime, including fogging of toilets, will be visible on-site. Hand sanitiser stations will be positioned at key locations.
