Casa Mombo launches on Peterborough music scene with a bang

Two events with more than 600 guests in Peterborough marked the official launch of Casa Mombo, an Ibiza-inspired event series created by local DJs & promoters Matt Andrews and Brad Warby.

Designed to bring vibrant, uplifting experiences to Peterborough, Casa Mombo debuted with two back-to-back events: Saturday, an all day event hosted at The Woolpack in Stanground and Sunday at The Dragon in Werrington. The events included 12 guests DJs including Pete’C, Little Large, Twix, Taylor Jewkes. Fleur, Paul withers, Alice Monnat, Ethan Hull, Gone South. Deep Frequencies, Martin Smith & DNA, with Ryan, from Greeny Productions capturing the action.

The atmosphere was electric, with guests praising the vibe, the music and the unique energy Casa Mombo brought to the city. From Afro House to Ibiza classics and everything in between, both nights delivered a fresh and inclusive party experience.

Matt, co-founder of Casa Mombo, said: “We were inspired by the incredible local music scene – from events like UNDER who recently hosted a two-day event that lit up Peterborough. The Saturday was a Café Mambo event, which is one of the local events that inspired us to create Casa Mombo.

"The aim for us is to bring something nostalgic, uplifting and collaborative. Our goal is to support the local scene and work in collaboration with local event promoters, who share our common goal of putting Peterborough on the map for music again. We couldn’t of made this happen if it wasn’t for our guest DJs who delivered incredible music throughout the day.

“Sunday’s event at The Dragon was delivered in partnership with Lovely Entertainment, whose founder Heidi Lovley described the vibe as unreal.”

Brad, co-founder of Casa Mombo, added: “People have been coming up to us saying how much they loved the atmosphere, the music, and the energy – it’s something they felt the city really needed. That’s why we’re doing this. It’s more than a party, it’s about building something positive for Peterborough’s music scene and creating experiences people remember.”
