An exciting music event for young people is due to take place in Peterborough in March. Signature Music Festival is once again running a Youth Music Showcase, in partnership with Peterborough Music Hub and Breve Music Ltd.

The competition will take place on March 15 hosted by Breve Music in Rivergate. Young performers will be given the opportunity to present an original composition, or a creative interpretation/arrangement of an existing piece of music of any genre.

Festival director Moira Lester said: “This is always a really popular event, and it’s great to see the musical talent we have in the city. Previous winners have gone on to release CDs and are now well-respected musicians in the industry. We’re looking forward to hearing some more fabulously talented young people again this year!”

There’s still time for bands, singer/songwriters and instrumentalists to enter at www.signaturemusicfest.org
