Virgin supply two lots of champions

Virgin Active Thorpe Wood have won the LTA Aegon Under 14 League Premier South-East Division.

The Under 14 champions are from the left Isaac Rowles, Ethan Lee, Oliver Wortley and William Cutforth.

The city youngsters beat teams from Essex, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

The team of Ethan Lee, Oliver Wortley, Isaac Rowles and William Cutforth were unbeaten all season.

The boys beat Berkhamstead (Bucks) 7-6 ; Connaught (Essex) 12-0, Letchworth (Hertfordshire) 10-2 and finally Riverside (Bedfordshire) 10-2.

The club had a second team who competed in the Cambridgeshire County Under 14 League and they also remained unbeaten in claiming top spot. They beat Cambridge 12-0, Cocks & Hens 12-0, Leys Leisure 10-2 and Great Shelford 9-3.

Players who represented this team were Archie Hill, Daniel Edwards, Lucas Kimpton, Daniel Wortley and Ben Cherry.
