'Watt' a superb debut win for Police Club boxer Dylan

Peterborough Police Club boxer Dylan Watt made a sensational winning debut at a show in Northampton.

The talented 65kg boxer, who attends Stanground Academy, stepped through the ropes for his first-ever contest against a tough opponent from New Saints ABC and produced a performance full of confidence and composure to stop his opponent in the second round.

Watt started brightly, landing sharp shots to both the head and body in an entertaining first round where both fighters enjoyed success. However, the Police boxer quickly found his range and began to dominate with his long punches and accurate combinations.

The second round followed a similar pattern, but Watt stepped up the intensity with a series of punishing body shots. The pressure forced the referee to issue his opponent with a standing eight count. Relentless attacks to the body soon proved too much though, and the referee stepped in to stop the contest.
