Six of the best for City of Peterborough men ahead of top-of-the-table clash, Lily winner for the ladies
City of Peterborough set up a crunch top-of-the-table clash at Oxford Hawks next Sunday (November 8) by storming to a sixth straight National Midlands Conference win.
The Hawks have also won all six of their matches so far and sit top of the table on goal difference. The pair are five points clear of third placed St Albans.

City beat Blueharts 5-1 at Bretton Gate yesterday, a final scoreline that flattered them on the balance of play in an often stormy clash. The visitors suffered a late red card, an unusual occurrence in hockey, presumably for some choice words spoken to an umpire.
Nathan Rozario scored with two blistering strikes for City, while Joe Finding converted two penalty corners to bookend his team’s five goals. Zak Scotting also netted after a powerful run forward from Josh Baker.

Blueharts reduced the arrears to 2-1 in the first quarter, but, although City ‘keeper Cam Goodey was forced into a couple of fine saves, the ruthlessness in front of goal from City proved decisive.
