PANVAC lady vets were the 'Queens of King's Lynn' after demolishing the opposition
PANVAC’s female masters athletes were dubbed the 'Queens of Kings Lynn’ after a regal performance in the Eastern Masters League fixture on Wednesday.
After two of the four fixtures the serial medalists were lying in third place in their qualifying group, with only the first two teams making the final.

However, they demolished the opposition at Kings Lynn winning by 30 points and overtaking Cambridge & Coleridge AC to sit second just one point off the top of the league table.
With the final fixture taking place in Peterborough they should now make the final with ease. The men are almost there too after finishing second behind League leaders Cambridge & Coleridge, but finishing well ahead of third placed West Norfolk AC.
The ladies won 16 out of the 28 events in a six-team contest. Judith Jagger collected her usual big haul of first places in the over 60s, winning the shot with a throw of 8.54m as well as the hammer, long jump and high jump.
Kelly Sutton won the over 50 400m in 65.4 with Claire Smith first in the over 35 race with a 66.6 clocking. They both also won their 100m races.
Kayleigh Longfoot clocked 5:38.9 to win the over 35 mile with Roslyn Loutit the winner of the over 60 race in 6:19.5.
The over 50 hammer was won by Andrea Jenkins with a league record throw of 45.27m, and she also finished first in the shot. Sam Eve-Marsh was first in the over 35 long jump with a distance of 3.79m. She won the high jump as well.
PANVAC ladies won both relays, and the other team members, Elisabeth Sennitt Clough, Betty Gash, Kay Gibson, Brenda Church and Sally Pusey all achieved second place finishes.
For the men Simon Achurch won the over 50 hammer with a 42.36m throw as well as the shot. Kevin Bates did the same in the over 70 age group throwing the shot 9.28m.
On the track Andy Preston clocked 5:19.7 when winning the over 50 mile. Andy Stowe won the over 50 400m in 58.9 with Dave Knighton winning the over 60 race in 69.7. Dave Collier won his first race as a veteran in the over 50 100m with a time of 13.9. The club also won the over 50 relay.
