The city teenager set the pace from the first bell with his opponent from Tyne & Wear taking a brutal 13 punches in the opening minute. Hussain’s constant pressure exhausted his opponent and left him swinging at fresh air for most of the first round. At the start of round two, Henry Buckland came out throwing numerous shots, but missed with everyone of them leaving him exposed to Hussain’s backhand. Hussain also retaliated with perfectly timed fast jabs and loaded up on body shots which could easily have led to an intervention from the referee. In the final round the one-way nature of the fight continued with Hussain finally forcing a standing count just before the bell rang. Hussain now goes into the quarter-finals.
