GB led after four of the six rotations before they were overtaken by reigning champions Japan, Russia and China. The top three qualify for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, but GB will have other opportunities to secure their place.

Jarman, who trains at Huntingdon Gym Club, now sets his sights on individual medals. First-up is the all-around final on Thursday followed by the floor on Saturday and the vault on Sunday.

Jarman (24) is the reigning World Floor Champion and a former World Vault Champion.

TV times for the Championships are Thursday from 6.30pm on IPlayer and 7pm on BBC 2, Saturday from 1pm on BBC 2 and Sunday from 1pm on BBC 2.
