Excellent 6th place finish in Scotland for Peterborough Cycling Club racer
Jamie Murray of Peterborough Cycling Club claimed an excellent 6th place age group finish at the Gralloch UCI gravel race in Scotland.
The race takes place on a 111-kilometre (approx 69 miles) course with 1,761 metres of climbing, mostly on gravel. Murray competed in the 46-49 age group and completed the course in 3:34:33. Clubmate Paul Pardoe was 56th in the same category.

The city club were also well represented in the recent Northants 10-mile time trial event at Lamport.
Joe Matthews delivered an outstanding performance on his road bike to finish in 24.58 to take the ‘handicap improvement’ win. He knocked off 1.01 minutes from his predicted time to win by 15 seconds. Richard Lamb also rode in the road bike category and finished in 25.35.
Kevin Hobbs and Loz Staples were on TT Bikes and both found the going tough. Staples stopped the clock on 25.25 and Hobbs clocked 23.36. It was 10 years ago Hobbs first represented the club at this event. He did a 24.05s in 2016.
