City of Peterborough’s big game is scuppered by Covid

City of Peterborough Hockey Club’s National League Division One North match against fellow strugglers Sheffield Hallam at Bretton Gate on Saturday (October 31) has been postponed because of lockdown rules in South Yorkshire.

City are next to bottom after last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham University when they were denied a second half equaliser by the crossbar. Sheffield are currently bottom of the table.

City of Peterborough Ladies returned to form with a 4-2 home win over Cambridge University last weekend. Claire Caruth (2), Holly Finding and Holly Naismith scored the goals for fifth-placed City who are at Old Loughtonians this Saturday.
