Captain Bush had a field day for PANVAC in Southern League meeting


Bush started his day with 24.31 hammer personal best (PB) as he took 2nd spot in the B competition. He then threw a season’s best shot of 12.26 when winning the B competition.
This was followed by a javelin PB with 46.74, which was good enough to win the B competition. Bush finished his day with a season's best in the dicus of 31.77m.

Hide AdThe men's throwing events provided rich picking for PANVAC athletes, with Mindaugus Jurksa winning the shot putt competition with a throw of 14.43m.


Jurska took 2nd spot in the discus, while Dan Lornie threw a PB of 50.18m to win the Javelin. Simon Achurch won the B discus.
The ladies also enjoyed a good day in the throws with Lydia Church throwing 12.41m for 2nd place in the shot. Becky Hall won the B shot with a distance of 11.87m.
On an afternoon when many PANVAC athletes just missed out on wins, Andrea Jenkins and Lydia Church threw 44.45m and 32.89m respectively for 2nd place in the A and B hammer.

Hide AdFelix Bowling finished runner-up in an exciting pole vault competition with a clearance of 4.20m, while Dylan Phillips took 2nd place in the long and high jumps.
Nathanial Amaoade was 2nd in the triple jump with 13.30m while Angus Bowling won the B event.
The sweltering conditions on the track didn't stop Phil Martin clocking 9:07.7 for 2nd place in the 3,000m while Luke Brown ran 4:05.9 for his 1,500m runners-up spot.
Archie Rainbow and Alastair Phelan ran 51.0 and 52.7 for 2nd places in the A and B 400m races, while Joel Grenfell won the 100m in 11.1. Ben Ball clocked 23.1 for first place in the B 200m.

Hide AdJessica Dixon-Walker was runner up in the 100m hurdles, with Charlotte Dunstone winning the B race. There were also runners-up spots for 400m runner Elizabeth Taylor and 1,500m steeplechaser Niam Rushton.
Rushton claimed another 2nd place in the long jump with 4.28m with Ali Church runner up in the B event
Tayla Benson cleared 1.53m to win the high jump, with Grace Tidman 2nd in the B event with 1.48m.
Elsewhere Angus Bowling and Joel Grenfell set new PANVAC records at the Charnwood Open Meeting.

Hide AdBowling won the pole vault with a 4.30m clearance, while Grenfell jumped 6.96 for his long jump win.
Archie Rainbow ran a 50.49 400m's while Michael Major with 2:02.40 and under 17 Sebastian Beedell with 2:03.24 both went well in the 800m.
Under 17 Felix Bowling with a time of 4:29.72 was the quickest of a PANVAC trio in the 1,500m, followed by Molly Peel who clocked 4:44.35 and Ellie Rainbow in 5:04.61.
PANVAC's former US Collegiate 10,000m champion Charlotte Taylor is back racing again after a four year absence
Taylor who ran for Great Britain in the 2017 10,000m World Championship finished first lady in the Sri Chinmoy 10k at Battersea Park in a time of 34.13.
