By George! Debutant won the Legends Snooker Tour Players Championship at the Broadway Club
George Pragnell defeated Luke Pinches 3-1 in the final to lift the Legends Tour Players Championship trophy and claim the £600 first prize after a thrilling day's snooker at the city's Broadway Club on Sunday.
The Norwich-based player held his nerve to oust reigning Six Reds champion Courtney Symons 3-2 in round one, before securing a brace of 3-1 wins over local potter Gary Norman and Manchester's Josh Thomond, aided by breaks of 107 and 112, the highest of the tournament, to reach the final on his Legends Tour debut.

Runner-up Pinches, who pocketed £300 for his efforts, battled past the in-form Luke Simmonds 3-1 in his opener, and later recorded deciding frame victories over Dave Jobling and Australian Ryan Thomerson before falling short in the title match.
Pre-tournament favourite Harvey Chandler fell at the first hurdle to Kings Lynn's Nathan Jones who whitewashed the former professional with a top break of 81.
The action returns in just two weeks time when the Court Club will host the 7th staging of the Six Reds Championship, with £500 on offer for the champion.
