The Scottish goalie began his career with the Fife Flyers, before moving to North America to play the majority of his junior hockey.

He signed for MK Lightning in 2015, before moving onto the Hull Pirates a year later. He’s also iced in the Elite League for the Edinburgh Capitals and Fife Flyers.

Marr signed for the Phantoms ahead of the 2018/19 season and was an integral part of the treble-winning team of that season. His solid performances in goal allowed the rest of the team to score the goals required to seal not one, not two, but three trophies in just a matter of months.

He returned to Peterborough for the inaugural NIHL National season and will now spend a third and fourth season between the Phantoms’ pipes.

Marr said “I’m very excited to be back in Peterborough for another season. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity and challenge of competing for silverware with our returning core and new guys. With our awesome dressing room atmosphere, supportive management, excellent coaching staff and exceptional fan base, there’s no place I’d rather be. I’m looking forward to seeing you all when the season begins!”

Slava Koulikov has always been a big believer that good goaltending is one of the keys to success and is delighted to have held onto Marr for another two years.

“I am really pleased and happy that Marrsy has made the commitment to the Phantoms for another two seasons,” Koulikov said. “Goaltending is a very important part of the team and I believe good goaltending is a minimum 50% of success. “Since joining us, ‘Marrsy’ has made our team strong and in the last two seasons he has played a major part in pushing our team to two top three finishes in the league, five finals and three trophies.

“It’s huge to have ‘Marrsy’ back with us for another two years and I am looking forward to continuing to work with one of the best goalies in the league.”
