For the second successive weekend the city’s ice hockey side followed a heavy road defeat on Saturday with a convincing victory at Planet Ice on Sunday.
Phantoms came unstuck 7-2 after making the long haul to Scotland to face Solway Sharks, a team who had won just twice this season before this game.

The mixed results did drop Phantoms a place to sixth, but the National League looks ultra competitive and the gap between new leaders MK Lightning and sixth is just four points.
Phantoms have just one game this weekend and it presents the opportunity of quick revenge over Solway who visit on Sunday (5.30pm). Solway have ex-Phantoms star netminder Jordan Marr in their line-up.
v RAIDERS After Phantoms edged a tight first period with Raiders 2-1 courtesy of goals from Janne Laakkonen and Brad Bowering, they ran away with the Sunday night game.

Main man Luke Ferrara scored twice in period two with Cam Hough and Joe Gretton also on target as Hough and Laakkonen caused no end of problems for the visitors.
Ferrara completed his hat-trick in the final stanza with help from Laakkonen and Hough.
v SOLWAY Phantoms had started sluggishly in Solway and trailed 3-0 after the opening period.

The hosts added a fourth goal before the second break and then struck three times in the early part of the third period to put the game to bed.
Phantoms gave back-up netminder Luke Clark some minutes after falling 6-2 down and he performed well.
It was the one bright spot on a disappointing night which drew an apology from the Phantoms camp.

"You can say it was a long trip and you can say we were missing boys, but, at the end of the day, you can only play with what you’ve got and it wasn't good enough, so no excuses from us.”
Thankfully it was a different story the following night.
