Williams fired a one-under-par 71 in the first round to start the second day in third place and then shot a 70 to finish level at the top of the leaderboard with Americans Trent Tipton and Alrik Pan.

That meant a sudden-death play-off and Williams kept his cool to card a birdie and seal the win.

Williams’ final round included six birdies and 78 top young golfers took part in the competition,

Williams is into the third year of his scholarship at the Bishops Gate Golf Academy in America.
