Yaxley life president Jeff Lenton said: “Our Yaxley JPL teams will get to play in partner club festivals, select games versus other partner clubs teams and Norwich City FC teams – all under the watchful eye of Premier League talent spotters. And of course, there is scope for players from within the club to progress to the partner teams.

The initial focus will be on the development of the U13 and U14 age group and then extended upwards into the U15 and U16 age groups as the scheme grows providing a conduit for talent from around the geographical region via this partnership.”

Yaxley chairman Malcolm Clements added: “It’s not just about the players, Yaxley will get support (including CPD) in developing our coaches to higher standards plus creating a better environment for our players, parents and coaches. As a club, we’ve regularly produced successful youth teams in the local leagues. This partnership represents a step up for our young players with the increased opportunity and experience in the higher and wider echelons of youth football.”
