Centre midfield Nigel Steadman: “Skeggy” was a player who introduced me to Peterborough League football with some robust tackling and sledging. Was very competitive and never gave an inch to his opponents. Aggressive, strong and yet very good on the ball and although he was very much at the latter end of his career when I played against him was simply a beast of a player.”

10.
Striker Lee Ayres: A player who was exceptional in front of goal and always hit 20+ goals per season. “Ayresy” could score unbelievable goals and tap-ins and they were always important ones for the team. He had a great partnership with Glen Bolden at Ortonians and they were very much the focus of the team as opponents hated playing against them. Lazy, always late and never paid his subs but came alive in and around the box.”

11.
Jamie Graham: “Jamie is the best player to have graced the PDFL in the last 20 years. Jamie had it all and he could do anything he wanted with the ball. You knew what he was going to do but you still could not stop him! Had pace, power and skill. Scored all manner of goals and nothing bothered him. Could and should have been a professional footballer!”
