Stilton United and Netherton United warmed up for Saturday’s (October 17) top-of-the-table clash with handsome wins in their latest Peterborough Premier Division matches.

Stilton warmed up for the big game with a 7-1 success at struggling Ketton to make it five wins and 29 goals scored in five top-flight matches this season.

Ash Brand (2), Lee Deane (2), Tom Flatters, Kyial West and Charlie Clipston scored their goals.

Netherton’s 6-1 romp at Leverington Sports featured a rare goal in a rare appearance from manager Jon Harrison

Alfie Ferguson and skipper Fraser Sturgess both scored twice with Chris Down netting a spectacular free kick after Leverington had drawn level.

Peterborough North End Sports made it three Peterborough Premier Division wins in a row with a 4-2 success at city rivals ICA Sports.

Centre-back George Edwards scored twice with Anthony Garmory and Emmanuel Ochube also on target.

FC Parson Drove kept their strong start going with a 3-1 win at Eye United and Holbeach United Reserves are still unbeaten after despatching bottom club Oakham United 6-1.
