PT SPORTS AWARDS: Community Award: Big award for TinyTykes man
Richard Pickering won the Community Award for his work coaching football to pre-school children in Peterborough and the ssurrounding area under the TinyTykes banner,
Richard said: “I can’t believe I’ve won it. I’m incredibly touched to have received this award, thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
Close runners-up were Langtoft United Juniors FC secretary Paul Cooper, an all-action organiser who also coaches and manages teams as well as bringing ideas, investment and revenue into the club and the Peterborough Phantoms ice hockey club who launched a free grass roots sports project alongside the BGL group to encourage children to try a variety of sports.
