It’s four wins on the spin for Sports since their shock home defeat at home to Hitchin.

And Yaxley are going great guns in Division One Central as they bounced back from a disappointing draw at rock-bottom Wantage in midweek to make it six wins in seven league games with a 4-2 home success over Kidlington.

The Cuckoos are now sixth and just three points off the play-offs after goals from Charley Sanders, Dan Jarvis, Thomas Waumsley and Jake Battersby. Yaxley were 4-0 up after 53 minutes.

And it was also a great day for Stamford AFC who beat Northern Premier League South East Division promotion rivals Stocksbridge Park Steels 3-0 at the Zeeco Stadium in front of almost 300 fans.
