Peterborough United central defender Jack Baldwin believes Saturday's (February 20) League One clash at Millwall is a must-win match for his team.

Posh approach the match on the back of a dismal display against Bradford City at the ABAX Stadium last weekend (February 13). Posh lost 4-0 and are now 11th in the League One table, six points behind Millwall who occupy the final play-off spot.

Baldwin was part of the Bradford horror show, but he’s backing Posh to get back to the outstanding form they showed when manager Graham Westley first took charge of the club.

“We will put Saturday behind us and focus on the last 16 matches,” Baldwin stated. “We need to bounce back with a good performance and a good result at Millwall. It’s a must-win game for us, a massive match for the whole club.

“There is so much at stake. There will be a big crowd and it’s important that we get back to winning ways straight away by finding the form we showed when the manager first took over.

“We were playing attacking football and scoring lots of goals. We’ve gone away from that a bit in recent weeks, but the manager has been very good with us this week.

“He tells stories from when he was managing Stevenage and they followed a good cup run with one bad result before going on a phenomenal run to win promotion. There’s no reason why we can’t do the same.

“We’ve shown this season that we can string wins together and Saturday would be the perfect time to kick-start the rest of the season.”
