Points-per-game expected to determine Peterborough League promotions, but 2020-21 constitution will not be released until start date is confirmed

A PDFL spokesman said: “We can’t release the constitution as we don’t know when football will restart and this could have an impact on it.”

It’s understood a points-per-game average has been applied to determine promotions, while some teams have asked to be placed in lower divisions.

If points-per-game has been applied, the top four in Division One would be Crowland (2.30pts-per-game), Eye (2.26), Stilton (2.25) and Cardea (2.22).

Two teams are currently scheduled to be promoted to the Premier Division.

Leading positions in other divisions under PPG.

Division Two: 1 NECI (2.15), 2 Crowland Reserves (2.13), 3 Warboys (2.08).

Division Three: 1 Holbeach Sports (2.82), 2 Ramsey (2.52), 3 Farcet (2.33).

Division Four: 1 Stanground Sports (2.82), 2 Casterton (2.72), 3 Stilton Reserves (2.6).

Division Five A: 1 Deeping Utd (2.5), 2 Sawtry (2.25).

Division Five B: 1 Rippingale & Folkingham Reserves (3.0), 2 Stamford Lions A (2.0).

The Premier Division title is not expected to be awarded which is a shame for Netherton (2.5) who would have pipped Stamford Lions (2.35), Peterborough NE Sports (2.25) and Thorney (2.20).
