Will Fergie revert to type at Leyton Orient despite Saturday's successful change of formation?

Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson will probably revert to his favoured 4-2-1-3 formation for Tuesday’s League One trip to Leyton Orient (7.45pm kick off).

The wing-back formation deployed in Saturday’s nervy 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers did free up a Posh forward line which had previously struggled to create chances at the Weston Homes Stadium, but injuries to forward players Ricky-Jade Jones, Bradley Ihionvien and Chris Conn-Clarke have complicated the manager’s selection possibilities. We are assuming Jones will join Conn-Clarke on the sidelines tomorrow.

In any case Posh have won their two previous league One away games this season, and scored six goals, so Ferguson might well have kept faith with that winning formation.

Posh could climb as high as fifth with a win at the Gaughan Group Stadium. Here is the team Ferguson will probably select. We think he will go back to a 4-2-1-3 system.
