Posh forward Jonson Clarke-Harris and Sunderland’s Charlie Wyke sit at the top of the League One scoring charts with 18 Jephcott is just two goals further back.

Clarke-Harris has the best goal assist record of the three. He has claimed three compared to one for Wyke and none at all for Jephcott.

But Jephcott has played the fewest matches of the three (25). Clarke-Harris has played in all 28 of Posh’s League One matches which is one more appearance than Wyke.

Wyke and Jephcott are both scoring goals at 0.81 per 90 minutes while Clarke-Harris is scoring at 0.66 goals per 90 minutes.

Clarke-Harris has sent 68 shots at goal this season with a 50% accuracy rating. Wyke is also on 50% accuracy, but Jephcott’s accuracy rating is a very impressive 72% from just 39 shots.

Jephcott, who is just 21, scores from 41% of his shots which is better than Wyke (32%) and Clarke-Harris (26%).

And Jephcott’s form is one reason why Plymouth have been on a terrific run of results.

They haven’t lost a League One match since Oxford turned then over 3-2 at Home Park on December 29.

Their 0-0 at Rochdale at the weekend was a ninth game without defeat, form that included a fine 1-0 win at Accrington Stanley, a 2-1 success at Sunderland and a 2-2 draw at Portsmouth when Plymouth led 2-0 going into the final minutes.

Former Posh midfielder George Cooper won’t be in action against his old club tonight. He suffered a knee injury before Christmas which is mending very slowly.

Cooper left Posh for Home Park in September after a successful spell on loan in Devon last season.
