Eighteen signings have been made by third tier clubs in the last seven days including the arrivals of Ronnie Edwards and Ethan Hamilton at Posh.
Charlton Athletic have made their first two signings of the summer after overcoming ownership issues which leaves just Ipswich Town and Wigan Athletic as the only clubs yet to announce a new player, although the Tractor Boys are close to unveiling goalkeeper David Cornell, full-back Stephen Ward and forward Oli Hawkins.
Among those to move out of League One include former Posh player Kieran Sadlier who has joined Championship outfit Rotherham United.
Among those to move into the third tier is a former Posh hotshot.
Here are the top League One signings of the week...

5.
KANE HEMMINGS (Burton): A striker who has been around the block a bit, but who almost scored a goal every other game for Dundee in the Scottish Championship last season. 6.
RICHIE SMALLWOOD (Hull): Former Posh boss Grant McCann will be delighted to have signed a 29 year-old player who has won promotion from League One with both Rotherham and Blackburn. 7.
JOSEPH MILLS (Northampton): After many years as a journeyman pro, Mills (30) made his name as a dashing, adventurous left back with Forest Green Rovers for whom he scored 13 goals in 68 appearances. Mills could be an excellent signing. Photo: Dan Mullan (Getty Images). Photo: Worthing

8.
LUKE VARNEY (Burton): A strange signing this one as, although Varney has played for some big clubs like Ipswich, Leeds, Derby and Portsmouth, he's now 37. Varney's most productive goalscoring years have been the last couple with Cheltenham, but he's gone up a division now and could struggle. Photo: Hilsea Portsmouth
