The story of Peterborough United's Winter transfer window: Seven out and one in (sort of)
It was the quietest transfer deadline day in recent Posh history.
Indeed the entire Winter transfer window was largely uneventful with Posh losing seven players, while making just one permanent signing (and he was already here) and adding winger Ejiro Abbey to the under 21 squad.

JACOB MENDY
The one Posh signing was to turn a loan deal into a permanent, short-term move for a Wrexham defender who was contracted to the club until the end of the season anyway.
The 29 year-old is currently working his way back to full fitness. He’s started just six games for Posh, the last at Port Vale just before Christmas when he limped off injured in the first-half.
TOM O’CONNOR
The 26 year-old centre-back has returned to Wrexham after a serious hamstring injury curtailed his loan spell at Posh after 19 mainly impressive outings.
O’Connor said: “Not how I wanted my season to end, but it was a very enjoyable few months with Posh. It’s a great club and I wish the lads and everyone else there best of luck for the rest of the season.”
NICK BiLOKAPIC
The 23 year-old Australian goalkeeper had his contract cancelled by mutual consent on deadline day.
He moved to Posh for an undisclosed fee from Huddersfield Town in January, 2023 and made 61 first-team appearances, 48 of them in League One.
Bilokapic made his Posh debut in a 1-0 win at Reading on the opening day of the 2023-24 season, but a series of blunders led to him losing his place to Jed Steer later that season.
Bilokapic started the first two League One games of the current season. His last appearance was in the 2-0 home defeat to Luton Town in August when he was caught in possession in his own six yard box as ‘The Hatters’ scored their second goal.
WILL BLACKMORE
This 24 year-old goalkeeper also saw his contract cancelled by mutual consent on deadline day.
Blackmore came through the Posh Academy signing professional forms in 2020, but he has made just 10 Posh first-team appearances.
He made his debut on the final day of the 2020-21 League One promotion season at Doncaster Rovers and his final appearance in the last League One game of last season at Rotherham United.
Blackmore had been on the transfer list since the summer. He previously turned down a chance to drop into non-league football.
RYAN DE HAVILLAND
The midfielder was sold to League Two side Bristol Rovers early in January for an undisclosed fee and he has been a regular in their starting line-up ever since.
Posh signed the 24 year-old in June 2023 from Barnet. He made 70 appearances (34 starts) and scored five goals.
GUSTAV LINDGREN
The striker moved back to his native Sweden to join top-flight club BK Hacken after a frustrating 12 months at Posh. Posh had signed the 24 year-old from Swedish club Degerfors for a reported £400k, a fee matched by his new club.
Lindgren made his Posh debut as half-time substitute in a January FA Cup tie at Everton and scored twice on his full debut in a 4-2 EFL Trophy win against Walsall at London Road a few days later.
But, despite moments of promise from the substitutes’ bench, Lindgren started just 11 EFL games for Posh, 17 in total, and scored six goals, four of them in League One including three this season, the latest in a 1-1 draw at home to Reading on December 29. He also made 26 substitute appearances for the club.
KLAIDI LOLOS
The attacking midfielder was signed from Bolton Wanderers at the end of the summer transfer window, but he never threatened to hold a first-team spot down.
The 25 year-old made five first-team starts, two in League One, before he left on loan to a former club, Crawley Town. Lolos was sent off on his debut and hasn’t been available because of suspension since.
VICENTE REYES
On-loan 22 year-old goalkeeper who was returned to Norwich City on January 1 after seven Posh starts, four of them in League One.
