The full-back came to Posh from Norwich City in January 2022, but after scoring an FA Cup winning goal on his debut against Bristol Rovers he struggled. Mumba started just seven games for a Posh team destined for relegation from the Championship.
The 24 year-old has been at Plymouth for three-and-a-half years after initially moving to Devon on loan from ‘The Canaries’ and he was a star man in a Pilgrims team that won the League One title in the 2022-23 season.
Klaidi Lolos, who Posh have just loaned to Crawley Town, started his career at Plymouth.
Here are 10 more players who have represented Posh and Plymouth. How many do you remember?

1. GUY BRANSTON
No-nonsense centre-back who made 27 moves in his lengthy Football League career, three of them to Posh, on loan from Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday and finally on a free transfer from Oldham Athletic. Between 2003 and 2008 he made 50 Posh appearances, scoring twice. He finished his career at Plymouth, playing 32 times for 'The Pilgrims' before calling it a day in 2015 aged 36. 2. RYAN BROOM
A long-time Posh target who was eventually signed from Cheltenham for an undisclosed fee to play as a number 10 in August 2020. Sadly for him Sammie Szmodics then became available and Posh signed him as well leaving Broom as a back-up. Broom stayed at Posh for two years, but started just 5 EFL games in that time. He went on loan to Burton Albion and then to Plymouth before re-joining Cheltenham on a free transfer. He did well on a season-long loan at Plymouth scoring 4 goals in 48 appearances. He's now enjoying a third spell at Cheltenham aged 29. Photo: David Lowndes

3. FRANCIS CASSIDY
A midfielder signed on a free transfer from Watford by Posh boss John Wile in 1984. He was initially a success scoring 8 goals in his first season at the club, but then lost his place the following season and left London Road after 57 appearances and 11 goals in 1986. He played twice for Plymouth on loan from Watford when a youngster. He drifted into non-league football after Posh. Photo: David Lowndes

4. GEORGE COOPER
Posh thought they had signed a gem when this midfielder moved down from Crewe for £300k in January 2018. He promptly scored on his debut as a substitute, but he flattered to deceive starting just 16 games (5 goals) in a two-and-a-half year stay, the last 12 months of which was spent on loan at Plymouth. He did well in Devon and eventually signed permanently. His form tailed off though and he left Home Park having made 50 appearances (6 goals). Photo: Joe Dent
