The 21 year-old has dropped from the Premier League to League One in search of regular football.
Posh have had mixed experiences with players signed straight from the top flight.
Here are 10 of the best and 10 of the worst, mostly nominated by PT readers...
13. BEST: IAN ROSS
High class centre-back signed from Aston Villa, initially on loan, in December, 1976. Went on to form one of the great Posh centre-back pairings with Chris Turner. Made 131 appearances for Posh. Photo: David Lowndes
14. WORST: ZEKE ROWE
Striker signed from Chelsea in August, 1996. Started off well at Posh, but it didn't last and 27 of his 46 appearances were as a substitute. Scored 3 goals. Photo: David Lowndes
15. BEST: JIMMY BULLARD
Exciting midfielder signed from West Ham United in July 2001 on a free transfer. A star man in a mediocre Posh side who inevitably moved on to bigger and better things after 77 appearances and 14 goals. Dashing full-back Tom Williams made the same move at the same time and he was pretty good as well. Photo: s
16. WORST: ZAK STURGE
A left-back signed on loan from Chelsea in August 2023 who didn't start a League One game because of Harrison Burrows. Just enjoyed a terrific season at Millwall in the Championship though. Photo: Joe Dent
