The 21 year-old has dropped from the Premier League to League One in search of regular football.
Posh have had mixed experiences with players signed straight from the top flight.
Here are 10 of the best and 10 of the worst, mostly nominated by PT readers...

5. BEST: PAUL SHAW
Midfielder signed on loan from Arsenal in October 1995 and was a class act in most of his 12 Posh appearances (5 goals) for a not very good side side. John Still signed him and was sacked one game later. Photo: David Lowndes

6. WORST: MICK LAMBERT
This winger was a fine player at the highest level for an excellent Ipswich Town side so excitement was high when he moved from Portman Road to Posh for a then considerable fee of £40k in July, 1979. Sadly he was past his playing sell-by date and managed just 18 appearances (2 goals). Photo: Evening Standard

7. BEST: TOMMY ROBSON
Winger signed from Newcastle United for a Posh record £20k in November 1968. Posh legend, record appearance-maker, second highest Football goalscorer who will be honoured by a statue at London Road very soon. Photo: David Lowndes

8. WORST: BILL GREEN
It was never going to be easy replacing the great Chris Turner as centre-half, but Posh paid a club record £60k to sign Green from West Ham United in July, 1978 so hopes were high. Instead hopes were misplaced and Posh were relegated from the old Third Division in Green's one and only season at London Road. Photo: Central Press
