Some Peterborough United fans are daring to dream plus a debate on tactical time-outs!

Peterborough United are now closer to the play-off places than the relegation zone, probably for the first time this season.

It’s four points to the top six and eight points to the bottom four after Saturday’s 3-1 win over Bolton Wanderers at the Weston Homes Stadium which has naturally led to some of us believing promotion for Posh is still a possibility.

We asked Posh fans to predict a finishing position for their side, plus what could make it happen and what could stop it happening.

Supporters also took the opportunity to discuss the rights and wrongs of a tactical timeout which Posh appeared to deploy at a time of defensive stress yesterday.

I thought our annual day out at Wembley had gone when we lost at Swindon in the EFL Trophy. Now I'm starting to think maybe, just maybe . . . Key to success is no more injuries to in-form players. Defensive lapses could also hold them back – @PoshboyAlan

This month will be telling, on and off the pitch. A couple more tough games and depending on who leaves/comes in. Get it right and top 6 is on, otherwise top 10 would be a good season considering where we were – @ShiellB1

With the right tweaks in January and some long overdue luck with injuries we'll have a chance of a top two finish! – @davidwh1971

Top 6 no higher, may get to play-offs if any newbies come in – @62madmanDj

If we can improve the squad in the window, get a new left-back and hang on to Archie Collins we have a chance of getting into the play-offs – @Werrington2

6th, confirmed on the final day after a lot of injury time – @petewass.

Williams has performed miracles with Fergie's side and with some players not having had a proper pre-season. I think with another forward, cover at fuil-back and a trimmer squad we could make the play-offs. What could hold us back is selling Archie Collins, or losing Alex Bass, Harry Leonard or Matt Garbett to injuries – @romysdad.

I’ll let you know after the next four games but I still find myself looking down rather than up! Definitely need to get rid of the deadwood. Also we need a winger or two. I’d settle for mid-table and build for next season – @partridge80716

We will finish roughly around where we are now, but definitely need a loan left-back and a back-up striker. Only thing holding us back now is not playing how we know we can as everyone’s capable enough to fight for play-offs – @jjoshoo

With the right investment this month, play-offs - @CraigIsted.

Top 6 with a new left and right back. Injuries and surprise exits could stop us. Garbett must be being tracked – @SidDay1

Don’t sell any good players, bring in one quality player, preferably a striker or attacking midfielder. Sell all the dross, not loan them! – @PaulPosh

Outside bet for the top six if we keep Archie Collins – @capper_mike

Invest in January and top 6 in this league is easily achievable. Standard is poor and not many teams can string together a run of results – @Kyle_Irving20

Top 6. Putting in crosses earlier will help and not having a a spare left back could be a problem – @samuel68006284

Clearly the target now has to be the play-offs. Relegation fears have been totally banished. How realistic that target is depends on whether or not we can improve our crossing. We made countless final third entries in wide areas today, but very few of those crosses found a blue shirt – @cooper_derren

Need to see what happens in the transfer window, but we need to keep Archie Collins as he is one of the best in League One – @MNurrish

On the Alex Bass sit down which changed the momentum of the game...

A break does work unfortunately, whether it be the lino last week, the flare against Oxford, or the keeper going down, but any long break in play and the managers get to give a team talk and change the momentum. Just ban the players from going to the manager. Send them to to the centre circle – @ThePoshCat

Makes a change for us to do this for once than have it done against us, we definitely needed a break when they were on top – @JessicaaAC.

Why should we be the only team that doesn’t do it? Can’t beat em, join em I say – @JeffriesTom

I'm not a fan of it so at least I can complain when others do it without being a hypocrite – @romysdad

Hated it. But it helped us. But hated it – @dalerout

100% it’s not upto us to decide whether it’s right or wrong. A vast majority of teams use it, to not use it puts us at a disadvantage! It’s up to the authorities to police it correctly and the more teams that do it the quicker they’ll take action – @nathan_young92

We were getting battered as Bolton applied 15 minutes of solid sustained pressure. It seemed a matter of time until they scored. Bass then felt something in his leg and after he received treatment the sustained pressure was gone...and never returned! – @Peteusername

We have to do what all clubs are doing to control the game if needed, different story if losing of course - @62madmanDj
