Ethan Hamilton’s 42nd minute dismissal turned the game on its head. It was 1-1 with Posh well on top when he was despatched, but Hull then cruised to a 3-1 success after scoring twice in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

RICKY-JADE JONES (for Clarke-Harris, 82 mins): Tried to put the Hull defenders under pressure.

DARREN FERGUSON: His switch to wing-backs seemed to take Hull by surprise. His team were good until one player let them down. Sending Mason on at the break ahead of Louis Reed was a surprise though. Once Posh quickly fell behind it was a decision that didn't help a team who needed to get forward quicker. Photo: Midlands
