Hamilton delivered a man-of-the-match display in the 0-0 draw at the Kassam Stadium.
Centre-backs Frankie Kent and Mark Beevers played powerfully, while Siriki Dembele produced most of the exciting attacking moments.
RATINGS KEY: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Very Poor.
5.
MARK BEEVERS: Currently performing to a very high standard. He and Kent snuffed out the threat of Oxford top scorer Matty Taylor 8.
6.
ETHAN HAMILTON: A surprise starter and he took his chance with both hands. Always on the front foot, competed well and played a couple of superb through balls, one to Dembele should have led to a match-winning goal 8.5.
7.
REECE BROWN: Took too many chances in possession in his own half and it caused the odd problem for his team. Substituted 20 minutes from time as has become the norm 6
8.
JOE WARD: Didn't see a lot of the ball in advanced positions after missing a good early chance to score. One superb whipped cross during injury time that was well defended, but otherwise quiet 6.
