Clarke-Harris bagged his seventh goal of the season in tonight’s (November 24) 1-0 League One win over Plymouth Argyle at the Weston Homes Stadium.

It was his first goal in five games, but an excellent personal display was marred when he picked up an ankle injury 15 minutes from time and was substituted.

Clarke-Harris was treated immediately, but the club will make a decision on whether or not a scan is needed tomorrow (Wednesday).

The 26 year-old must be a doubt for Saturday’s home FA Cup second round tie with non-league Chorley.

Ferguson said: “It was a sore one, but Jonson is a big, strong boy so hopefully he will be okay for the weekend.

“He’s an important player for us. He’s key to the way we want to play and we have no-one else like him.

“He was being assesseed straight after the game and if he needs a scan he will go on Wednesday.”

Mo Eisa, who has struggled for form for most of 2020, would be favourite to replace Clarke-Harris.

Injuries have started to pile up for Posh as Nathan Thompson, Joe Ward, Flynn Clarke and Ricky-Jade Jones are all currently sidelined.
