There were plenty of youngsters on show in a team that saw eight changes to Saturday's victory and included three players making their first starts for the club.
One youngster also did himself proud on his senior debut.
RATINGS KEY: 10-Brilliant, 9-Outstanding, 8-Very good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Awful.

9. JOEL RANDALL
Really tried hard but found it tough against an organised Plymouth defence. Played some nice passes though, however, failed to make as big an impact on the game as the forwards around him. 6.5. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com

10. RICKY-JADE JONES
One of his better nights and will boost his confidence after being hooked at half-tine against Cheltenham and dropped from the squad against Morecambe. Might not have took his goal with the sweetest of strikes but it was the right finish to score from that angle. Was a threat but should have had two from a late chance. 7. Photo: Joe Dent

11. JOE TAYLOR
Did not stop running all night. He was a constant nuisance as the Plymouth defence didn't seem to know where he was or which of them should deal with him. Didn't always make the right choices on the ball but played a lovely pass to assist Jones and took his goal well, even if it was into a empty net. He deserved his first senior goal. 8. 12. JOE WARD (for Ajiboye 68 mins)
A good substitute from McCann when it became obvious Posh were going to have to resort to dropping deeper to defend their lead. Did a solid job at stopping balls coming in from the left. 7. Photo: Joe Dent/theposh.com
