Peterborough United’s Marcus Maddison will leave some impressive numbers behind at London Road

Marcus Maddison will leave behind some decent numbers on his departure from Peterborough United.

The 26 year-old is expected Championship side Hull City on loan until the end of the season today (January 31).

Maddison joined Posh on August 27, 2014 from National League side Gateshead for an undisclosed fee. That fee was believed to be £250,000, but rose to £500,000 based on Maddison’s appearances and goals for Posh.

Maddison made 249 appearances for Posh in all competitions, scoring 62 goals and has been credited with 76 assists in League One alone.

Maddison is 15th in the all-time Posh appearance charts in the club’s Football League era and 11th in the goalscoring charts. He overtook Leon McKenzie (59 goals) this season.

*Maddison made his Posh debut as a 67th minute substitute for Kane Ferdinand in a 3-1 League One win at Colchester.

*Maddison scored on his home debut, a 3-2 defeat to Orient in the JPT Trophy and on his home League debut, a 3-1 win over Port Vale.

*Maddison scored eight goals in 30 Posh appearances in his first season at Posh (2014-15). He suffered his only Posh red card in the final minute of a 1-0 win over Orient in March 2015.

*In the 2015-16 season Maddison made 46 appearances and scored 13 goals. He enjoyed his first two-goal game against Colchester and scored in four successive matches in the middle of the season.

*In the 2016-17 season Maddison scored nine goals in 48 matches.

*In the 2017-18 season Maddison scored 12 goals in 53 appearances.
